Abstract:
The design and development of urban drainage infrastructure relies heavily on modeling. It calls for a deep familiarity with fluid dynamics and the hydrologic behavior of the drainage region. Models in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality do not provide faithful representations of the real-world processes. Instead, they are approximations of real-world processes that are grounded in either observed data or a system of equations and parameters.
