Abstract:

AI is playing a pivotal role in advancing e-governance and cybersecurity in smart cities, enabling governments to offer more efficient, transparent, and responsive services to citizens. By automating administrative tasks and enhancing decision-making processes, AI fosters greater civic engagement and improves urban management. In parallel, AI-driven cybersecurity solutions help protect critical infrastructure by detecting and mitigating cyber threats in real-time. However, the widespread use of AI in urban systems raises concerns about data privacy, algorithmic biases, and ethical implications, requiring comprehensive regulatory frameworks to ensure responsible and secure deployment.
