Abstract:

The increasing cases of online fraud through the WhatsApp application in Indonesia are still very often found among the general public. The theft of privacy data through WhatsApp social media in the form of URLs or links, PDF invitation files is the impetus for this research. Therefore, further handling is needed through security management so that the fraud can be resolved properly. This scam is very common, to protect users from phishing attacks, it is necessary to understand the mode of phishing on WhatsApp and develop better security methods. Phishing threats are a common type of online fraud that often occurs through WhatsApp Messager. This research uses a qualitative analysis method using data collection through literature studies.
